‘PR Planning for Your Business’ Workshop (as part of Start Me Up Business Skills Series at City Libraries)
What is PR and how can it help your business?
PR is a vital tool used for promoting your business, generating leads, building trust and credibility with your customers, drawing in potential investment offers and keeping your brand front-of-mind.
"Unlike marketing, PR takes advantage of unpaid communication channels such as local and regional media, the internet, business networks and community and customer relationships" (Business QLD Government).
In this two-hour workshop, you will learn the difference between marketing and PR and create a communications plan for your business from start to finish, so that you can use PR as a tool for long-term business growth. We’ll work on establishing key communication objectives, brainstorm media angles and creative tactics to get your business in the media, identify the types of publications your customers are consuming and put together an action-plan that will deliver results.
You will leave the workshop armed with knowledge around what you need to create a powerful and effective communications plan, plus you will receive a few handy PR tips and tricks to make sure you ace it out there!
Presented by Giulia Badalotti from PuzzlePR. Giulia is a passionate communications professional with seven years of experience in the industry, working with locally and internationally recognised travel brands, destinations and attractions, plus a host of events, festivals and small businesses.
